HANOI – HALONG TOUR (4days – 3 nights)

Day 1:   D

Upon arrival, meet & transfer to hotel. After dinner transfer to Thang Long Theater to enjoy a Water Puppet show.

Day 2:   B, L, D

Morning visit: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - In the tradition of Lenin, Stalin and Mao, the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh is a glass sarcophagus set deep in the bowels of a monumental edifice that has become a site of pilgrimage. One Pillar Pagoda - The One Pillar Pagoda, built of wood on a single stone pillar 1.25 meters in diameter, is designed to resemble a lotus blossom, symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow. Ho Chi Minh Stilt House – behind Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is a stilt house where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969. The house is built in the style of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities and has been preserved just as Ho left it. It‘s set in a well-tended garden next to a carp-filled pond. Just how much time Ho actually spent here is questionable – the house would have made a tempting target for US bombers had it been suspected that Ho could be found here. Temple of Literature - The temple constitutes a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and is will worth a visit. After lunch proceed to Ha Long - with its 3,000 islands rising from the clear, emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, is one of the natural marvels of Vietnam. These tiny islands are dotted with innumerable beaches and grottoes created by the wind and the waves.

Day 3:

Morning boat trip on Ha Long to visit Thien Cung & Dau Go Caves, Titop islands. Lunch on boat, Afternoon back to Hanoi to visit: 36 Old Quarters – The Old Quarter is demarcated roughly speaking, by Hoan Kiem lake, the Citadel, Dong Xuan Market and the ramparts of the Red Rivers. As they have since the 15th century, the narrow streets of the Old Quarter bear names that reflect the business once conducted there: Silk Street, Rice Street, Paper Street, Broiled Fish Street, Vermicelli Street, Jewelers Street, Paper Votive Objects Street and so forth. This interesting area now houses a variety of small shops.

Free day for shopping till transfer to airport for departure.
